Prancing Montana Agate Horses!

Classic art from Montana- Horses made of cut Montana Agate harvested from the Yellowstone River-- Montana Agates are Montana's Gemstone- they are dendric agate, which were produced while passing through a period of evaporation which took over three million years to become a stone of seven parts of hardness. Our local artist harvest the rock from the historic Yellowstone River in Prarire County, then uses a diamond tipped saw blade to cut slabs, then shape them. She then hand picks the best for her design of a prancing horse with flowing mane and tail. Edna mounts the polished Montana agate pieces upon glass and the result of a months hard work is glistening to the delight of everyone's eye! This horse is mounted on a piece of glass app. 8" by 7" and looks best when the sun can shine through it as it hangs from its leather cord. This horse may also be displayed as any art piece, on a stand.
